Transforming Tourism
for a Regenerative Future!

About Us

The Aupaba Institute is a non-governmental organization, non-profit entity founded by members of civil society who work interdisciplinarily and are driven by a vision of a more prosperous, fair, and conscious future.

Aupaba, originating from the Tupi-Guarani language, conveys the meaning of “Land of Origin,” symbolizing our vision of the ideal social, environmental, and cultural enhancement of the territory. For us, tourism goes beyond economic considerations. It is a tool for transformation and a path to preserve cultures, value skills, improve lives, and protect our precious biomes. Furthermore, tourism plays a fundamental role in education, social well-being, and promoting diversity and inclusion, acting as a powerful vehicle for messages of peace and tolerance.
